A Guide to Using the Encrypted Messaging
Sending a Message
Once you have logged in, click on the “Messaging” tab in the top menu bar.
Next click “Compose”, and address the message.
Address the message, type the message, and click “Send”.
The recipient will receive an email notifying them that they have a message in Therapractic (not the actual content from the message). They can view the message after they have logged in.
“Send notice by email with access token” – Sends the recipient an email notifying them that they have a message in Therapractic and also gives them a one time access to the message on Therapractic without logging in.
Managing “My Resources”
You’ll notice the section “My Resources” that you have available to you. To manage what is listed in your resources, follow these instructions.
Sending an external email is simply sending out an email from the Therapractic system. It is NOT encrypted and therefore MUST NOT contain ePHI.
Click the button “External Email”.
Type in the desired address. Fill out the subject line and the body text. Then click “Send”.
The recipient will receive an email containing the message from the email address “firstname.lastname@example.org”.
